Memory Verses for February

My time with busy family schedule and sickness that has been going around my family as kept me way to busy and I forgot to post my memory scripture for Siesta 2011

2-01-2011

Sing to the Lord, you saints of his; praise his holy name.
For his anger last only a moment, but his favor lasts a lifetime, weeping may remain for a night, but rejoicing comes in the morning.
                                                     Psalms 30: 4-5 (NIV)
2-15-2011

If any of you lacks wisdom, he should ask God, who gives generously to all without finding fault, and it will be given to him.
                                                     James 1: 5 (NIV)

my prayer today is that you delight in the Lord during your day.

Siesta Memory Verse 2

Morning everyone, wow my life has been so busy with family and school events that I haven't had a moment to post my 15th memory verse for Siesta's Memory Verse. Let's get right to it:

Memory Verse 2

But the wisdom that comes from heaven is first of all pure, the peace-loving, considerate, submissive, full of mercy and good fruit, impartial and sincere.
Peacemakers who sow in peace raise a harvest of righteousness.
                                                                               James 3:17-18 (NIV)

God is so good, with our busy life-an emotional roller coaster was upon us this past weekend, we took our oldest daughter Olivia to a college weekend trip. We are so excited she wants to attend a Christain College-Master's Program down in Portsmouth, NH. It was bittersweet for me as mom-my heart was full of so many emotions and thoughts of this is it in a few short months she will be leaving our nest Home a safe place to go explore her adventures.(God's plan for her.)
This momma is having issues with letting her baby go, as parents we all come this place and season in ours lives with our children. And all we can really do is teach them God's ways and pray for them. Thinking I better go buy some knee pads because I know I will be on my knees alot in prayer.
Olivia is one in glasses, here she is with best friend Beccy who is already attending the Master's Program. God is so good.

Psalms 139

Reading from Psalms 139 today, as I sit and chat with you, I am also praying for you all. (this video is late going up I have been sick with a bad cold).

Psalms 139: 1-4
O Lord, you have searched me and you know me.
You know when I sit and when I rise; you perceive my thoughts from afar
You discern my going out and my lying down; you are familiar with all my ways.
Before a word is on my tongue you know it completely, O Lord.

God knows all our inward thoughts, our desires, fears and knows our actions. He knows all from when we wake until we sleep..wow He knows everything I do...(that will make you step back and listen) that's why everyday I must ask God to forgive me for anything that might keep me from is awesome love and goodness.

Remember God loves you and wants a relationship with you. Start today by taking 5 minutes of your time and talk with Him in prayer and read a scripture.

New Year Starts with Beth Moore

2011 Siesta Scripture Memory Team: Verse 1

That's right Beth Moore is starting the memory verse 24 in 12 months again, so I knew this would be perfect to go along with the study I am preparing for the blog. If you haven't heard or partaken in Beth's memory verse challenge I would strongly suggest you stop over to her blog and read up on it.
I love to read the comments that others leave of their memory verse they chose. There is no memory verse that we all learn at the same time, it's ours from our hearts, souls, and minds...with God's leading we pick our own verse to memorize. This way it fits us and our season or circumstances we are going through in our lives.
I find this is a great way to open my own personal morning studies with prayer and reading out loud my verse I chosen.

Here is my Verse #1  (1-1-11)

But I will restore you to health and heal your wounds, declares the Lord,.   Jeremiah 30:17a (NIV)

I am super excited about this memory verse challenge-here are just a few that Beth wrote in her blog and they touched my heart so I wanted to share them with you.

Beth's verse:
All generous giving and every perfect gift is from above, coming down from the Father of lights, with whom there is no variation or the slightest hint of change.   James 1:17 (the NET Bible)

You crown the year with your bounty, and your carts overflow with abundance.  Psalms 65:11 (NIV)

"Forget about what's happened! Don't keep going over old history. Be alert! Be present! I'm about to do something brand new. It's bursting out. Don't you see it? There it is! I'm making a road in the desert and rivers in the badlands."      Isaiah 43:18-19 (Message)

For though we live in the world, we do not wage war as the world does. The weapons we fight with are not the weapons of the world. On the contrary, they have divine power to demolish strongholds. We demolish arguments and every pretension that sets itself up against the knowledge of God, and we take captive every thought to make it obedient to Christ.      2 Corinthians 10:3-5 (NIV)

Father I pray right now that I will commit to this awesome challenge of memorizing your Word into my heart, soul and mind. I pray that who ever is listening and reading these words will feel moved to take upon themselves a memory verse challenge to. Thank you Lord for this verse you gave to me today, I do need to restore my health and my families health and I do need healing of some wounds that are open and bleeding of hurt. Thank you also for Beth Moore and her big heart. Amen.

Journal Notes

Heartfelt notes:

Preparing my thoughts on paper that are speaking so loud for sharing a season of brokenness that I have faced and still am facing today.
"My Season of Brokenness" will be the title of my Bible Study-this study anyone can join in on (I am doing this study for me and hoping that as I share my heart and hope that it will give someone that little seed to get them through their difficult time in their season of life.)
2010 has been a very tough year for many reasons, brokenness has taken root in my depths of my heart again (what I mean again-is years of brokenness a long time ago in my life consumed me) I have been healed, but with everyday life and circumstances sometimes brokenness can creep in without us even knowing it. But this time I know God is for me.
We will have seasons of happiness, sadness, depression, loneliness, hope, excitement...that's part of life but it's how we handle it that sets our feet straight to follow the narrow path of faith, hope and love.

Simply get back deep into God's Truth=His Word.
